Stage 1 intro

The film that I am trying to make is a crime thriller film. The basic genre conventions of my movie is a dark kind of closed in theme where the style is pretty plain and grey. The theme of our film is like a rime but a thriller at the same time. The other opening sequences are usually flashbacks and flashforwards a lot of the time to give off the thriller portion in the crime genre. An opening sequence can reveal meaning without giving out to much by give you an important detail that may happen later on in the story or before the story. This will leave the viewer asking why was this shown? or, What makes this so important? and Why is it important? Tone can give of a certain type of vibe leaving you asking why was this song chosen to open the movie? Or, why is this piece of dialogue the first thing that they want me to hear? etc.  The action depends on the genre and who wrote it and directed it, but the first two minutes can either be the most important and informative or the least amount of information that you could possibly need. A lot of locations for crime thriller are usually shot in big inner cities where a lot of crime may occur like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Miami. A lot of crime thrillers may occur at night where it is easier to commit a crime when less people are out, or even early in the morning. The intended audience for my film is teenagers and someone who may be battling with a type of mental illness like depression, anxiety, or even PTSD I feel this way because some people may feel like their is no one who knows what they maybe going through but I wanted to create a film just for that exact reason. I will get them to see my movie by publicly promoting it through my production company as well as social media platforms and of course word of mouth. Titles in this genre are usually largely printed in a times font with usually one solid color or white and black together. Different social groups are usually portrayed and stereotyped based off their social status, their wealth, their age, and definitely their race. For example a poor African American 16 year old boy may be portrayed as a thief in crime thriller more likely than a White boy in the same circumstances.
